A LETTER FROM OUR DIRECTOR:

As many of you may already know, in early October, the Trump administration canceled our last grant at UVM. This has resulted in the layoff of me and my staff from UVM, effective November 19, 2025. Vermont Clean Communities Coalition was established in 2001 and has been housed at UVM since 2007. We are grateful to UVM for their partnership over the years, and I envision continued collaborations with faculty, staff, and students.

I am pleased to share the news that, with support from stakeholders and our Advisory Board, VT Clean Communities is moving to a new host relationship with Net Zero Vermont, Inc. Our organizations are mission-aligned and will continue working toward clean and efficient transportation for all, including transportation demand management; deploying advance fuel vehicles; supporting solutions to connect people and food; installing EV chargers; working with fleets and municipalities on alternative fuels – from electrification to renewable diesel; and beyond!

I want to thank you all for your colleagueship and support over the years, and look forward to continuing our work together. It feels more urgent than ever.

All my best,

Peggy
